Requirements to Become a Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island
If you wish to become a CNA in Rhode Island, you must complete a 120-hour training program that is licensed by the state's Department of Health. Topics of study include emergencies, infection control, taking vital signs, and CPR.
After completing your program, you will need to take the state's CNA Certification Exam. There is a small fee for this test, and you of course must pass it to become certified.
In Rhode Island, for you to become certified, you must forward your CNA test results and a certification application to the Rhode Island Department of Health.
