CNA Programs in Florida

If you wish to work as a CNA in Florida, you must pass background screening. You must achieve a minimum score on the state’s nursing assistant competency examination.

If you don’t complete a state-approved CNA program, then you must either have a high school diploma or equivalent OR be at least 18 years age to attempt the required CNA exam.

While you may be able to pass the CNA exam in Florida without formal training, if you fail the exam in three attempts, you will need to complete the training before you can attempt the exam again.

It is therefore a good idea to enroll in a program prior to testing.
