CNA Programs in Alaska
Requirements to Become a Nursing Assistant in Alaska
For you to become a CNA in Alaska, you must complete a training program approved by the Alaska Board of Nursing. In Alaska, your training must be comprised of at least 60 hours of lectures and 80 hours of clinical work.
Upon completion of your training, you will need to sit for and pass your state's CNA exam. Passing this exam places your name on Alaska's Nurse Aide Registry and allows you to seek employment as a CNA in the state.
When registering for your CNA exam, you will need to submit to a background check, tuberculosis screening, and any necessary vaccinations.
