Requirements to Become a Nursing Assistant in South Carolina
According to the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, all prospective CNAs who want to become CNAs by examination must participate in no less than 100 hours of state-approved training.
Some of the topics you will study during your program include communications, infection control, basic nursing skills, and safety procedures. After completing this training, graduates need to take the state’s Nurse Aide exam to become eligible for certification.
Passing the CNA exam is the most essential requirement for aspiring CNAs to become certified and have their names placed on the South Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.
